Angel Ford, LCSW Owner
(she/her)
I graduated from Boise State University with my Master’s in Social Work in 2015. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I practice from a client-centered approach. I believe you as the client are the expert in your own mental health journey and have innate internal strengths to make the best steps forward. Together, we will build a foundation of trust, compassion and understanding in the counseling room to help identify and reach your mental health goals. Learn more about what I offer below.
Specialized Therapeutic Approaches
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health. CBT focuses on challenging and changing cognitive distortions and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Also known as Parts Work. It is the concept that our personality is composed of a number of various parts from our subconscious. The goal of parts-therapy is to help people have all the parts of the self ready to show up when needed.
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a therapy designed to help you process and heal from traumatic experiences by using guided eye movements. During sessions, you'll recall distressing events while following the therapist's finger or another stimulus, which helps your brain reprocess the memories. This technique can reduce the emotional impact of those memories, leading to improved mental health.
Specilized Areas of Expertise
Grief / Life Transitions
We are all on a journey in life. And for most of us that journey will lead us through tough mile markers of change or grief.
Let's walk this together.
Relationships
The foundation of any type of healthy relationship is trust and respect. Sometimes a relationship needs a bit of help growing these two pillars for whatever reason.
It is always an honor to walk beside my clients in their relationships and watch them grow.
Faith-Based
We exist as a combination of mind, body and soul. However not all areas are always validated or addressed. Our spiritually / faith is important and at times would benefit to be integrated into our mental health treatment.

I offer free, no pressure, 15-minute consultations. Let’s chat first before deciding to schedule your first therapy appointment. I often tell my clients, my role isn’t to be your counselor. My role is to promote your mental wellness and if that means being your counselor or finding a counselor who would be a best fit for you then I more than happy to do so. Stepping into the therapeutic process can bring up a lot of unsure or anxious feelings. Let me help you navigate those first steps! Best forms of contact are text or filling out the contact form below to set up your consultation.
